Background
In October 2022, our ideal team start the journey of building a decentralized crowd computer grid in the context of the AI revolution and the increasing demand for GPU devices. We founded a multidisciplinary team with expertise in several key areas:
Blockchain and Distributed Systems Experts:
Individuals with a deep understanding of blockchain technology and distributed systems architecture are essential for designing the underlying infrastructure of the decentralized grid.
They should be familiar with various blockchain platforms, consensus mechanisms, and scalability solutions.
AI and Machine Learning Specialists:
Experts in artificial intelligence and machine learning are crucial for developing the algorithms and protocols for task distribution, verification, and execution within the decentralized grid.
They should have experience with training and deploying AI models, as well as optimizing computations for GPU devices.
GPU Hardware and Software Engineers:
Individuals with expertise in GPU hardware and software are needed to optimize the performance of the decentralized grid for AI workloads.
They should be familiar with GPU architecture, parallel computing, and optimization techniques for accelerating AI computations.
Cybersecurity Professionals:
Security is paramount in a decentralized system, especially when dealing with sensitive data and computations.
Cybersecurity experts can help design and implement robust security measures to protect against attacks, data breaches, and other threats.
Economists and Game Theorists:
Experts in economics and game theory can contribute to designing the incentive mechanisms and economic models for the decentralized grid.
They should understand the dynamics of tokenomics, incentives, and governance in decentralized systems.
Software Engineers and Developers:
Skilled software engineers and developers are needed to build and maintain the software infrastructure of the decentralized grid.
They should be proficient in programming languages relevant to blockchain development (e.g., Solidity, Rust) as well as AI frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Community Managers and Marketers:
Building a thriving community around the decentralized grid is essential for its success.
Community managers and marketers can engage with users, promote the platform, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Legal and Regulatory Advisors:
Given the evolving regulatory landscape surrounding blockchain and AI technologies, legal and regulatory advisors can help navigate compliance issues and mitigate legal risks.
Project Managers and Leaders:
Experienced project managers and leaders are needed to coordinate the efforts of the multidisciplinary team, set goals and milestones, and ensure the timely delivery of the project.
By bringing together experts from these diverse backgrounds, we have already assembled a strong team capable of tackling the challenges of the AI revolution and the growing demand for GPU devices.
During our work, we realized that the CI/CD industry alone may not offer the scale we were aiming for. Therefore, we needed to pivot and explore wider applications for our decentralized crowd computer. Subsequently, we conducted a GPU pilot with AI inference workloads.
Our efforts began to bear fruit as we successfully pivoted, leveraging the collective GPU power of users worldwide, in tandem with the increasing demand for AI workloads. Today, we find ourselves at the forefront of a new era in GPU computing. Our decentralized crowd computer has performed beyond our initial expectations.
